“Festival Hong Kong 2019 – A Cultural Extravaganza@Shanghai” will be the first mega cultural event held in a city in the Mainland of China since the participation of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China in Expo 2010 Shanghai China.  With “cultural creativity”, “connectivity between Shanghai and Hong Kong” and “youthful vitality” as its highlights, the Festival features a strong line-up of artists and arts groups in display of their artistry and talents, and showcases the crème de la crème of Hong Kong arts.  A wide array of programmes including around 20 stage productions, exhibitions, film screenings and outdoor carnivals will be taking place at major cultural icons and community in Shanghai.  This mega event will also provide platforms for arts exchange between Hong Kong and Shanghai.  By collaborating with cultural venues, museums and arts organisations in Shanghai, the Festival will introduce to local audience the diversity of arts and cultures in Hong Kong, and demonstrate the close rapport between the two metropolises.
