Dazzling contemporary dance showcase by Hong Kong talents

Passoverdance and The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts are set to present two enthralling dance works at the shopping mall Xintiandi Style.  Premiered in 2012, Passoverdance’s Maze was awarded the Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Independent Dance Production.  Discovering new inspirations from the oppressive backdrop of contemporary life, award-winning choreographer Pewan Chow revamped her previous work and created Maze: Shifting Boundaries in 2018.  At some moments, the dancers move their bodies between the pillars; at other moments they move the pillars.  The endless possibilities of dance lie beyond boundaries.  The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts demonstrates a contemporary ballet Echo by Hungarian choreographer Zoltan Fodor.  12 female dancers demonstrate how they echo with their own selves and with the others in the performance space.  With the original music by Attila Gergely, the dance shows the personal journey for the dancers to discover and explore their own voices during the creative process.
