The mills of God grind slowly but surely…and ridiculously?!
Hustling between a city and a country estate, 35 personalities – played by three actors – together with detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Watson, are drawn into a frightening homicide suspected to be committed by a fearsome, diabolical hound of supernatural origin. Sir Charles Baskerville was found dead on the ground of his country estate with footprints of a gigantic hound nearby. His good friend Mortimer decides to ask for advice from Holmes and Watson as he is worried about Sir Charles’s nephew and his cursed family… Chung Ying Theatre Company’s farcical take on the famous Sherlock Holmes’s case, The Hound of the Baskervilles, rocks the stage with the actors’ brilliant movements and abundant sense of humour. It takes the audience on an intriguing ride into the baron’s country estate, where the mystery of a family curse is set ablaze with laughter. The play premiered in Hong Kong this March to great popular acclaim.
